What Robotaxi Playbook is

Robotaxi Playbook is an independent digital research and business-analysis product about the emerging Cybercab and Tesla Robotaxi opportunity. It is for people evaluating the conditions under which future participation might make sense—and the reasons it might not.

The $49 package contains a 93-page Playbook and an editable Financial Model. The free Research guides answer narrower questions; the paid package combines the research, scenarios and complete decision framework.

How to read our evidence

Confirmed fact

A verifiable event, document or requirement, linked to the relevant evidence. The existence of an official statement can be confirmed without treating every outcome it describes as established.

Tesla statement or target

Attributed to Tesla and kept separate from a completed milestone, enforceable offer or independently demonstrated outcome. A target is not a delivery guarantee.

Model assumption

An input chosen to examine a scenario. Numerical precision does not make it an observed value or a published commercial term.

Unknown

A missing, unresolved or insufficiently supported input. It remains visible rather than being filled with an optimistic estimate presented as fact.

Sources and interpretation

The two Research guides link directly to the primary materials supporting their current-status claims: Tesla's purchasing-interest materials, NHTSA and the relevant state regulator. Financial explanations and public checklists are our editorial analysis, not quotations from those organizations.

Primary sources establish what an organization published or what a regulator requires. They do not automatically verify commercial performance. Secondary reporting can provide context or point to a development; material claims should be traced to an original source wherever possible. Unverified reports should remain identified as such.

Each guide displays a review date. A dated statement is a snapshot of the sources reviewed, not a promise that conditions remain unchanged or that every possible document has been found.

Arithmetic checks and model boundaries

For this edition, the workbook's default scenario arithmetic was recalculated and compared with its formulas. The website's simplified economics model was checked separately. These checks address arithmetic and consistency; they do not validate future demand, commercial terms or investment returns.

The Research guide's small network-share example is calculated independently and explicitly labels its inputs. It illustrates one relationship rather than claiming to represent Tesla's economics.

The working product also has limitations. Vehicle capital and network take are hypothetical. Insurance remains unresolved without a suitable quote. Fleet scaling is illustrative, and before-insurance outputs are not a complete P&L. Unpaid mileage, financing, depreciation, tax and other omitted costs need separate attention. Corrections and changing information

Found an error or a newer primary source? Send a correction through our contact page, including the page URL or product page number, the disputed statement and the source that supports the correction.

A correction should distinguish an error in the original analysis from a development that happened later. Material web revisions should identify what changed and update the review date only after the relevant claims are checked again.

The downloadable files and website are separate editions; a revised guide does not automatically update a previously downloaded file. This page does not promise a fixed update schedule or automatic delivery of future product editions.
